GE Grid Solutions, when it was known as Areva and Alstom Grid, hired Designer Software staff to analyze the design and usability of operator interfaces for its electric utility management systems.
That staff knowledge was then leveraged in participatory design workshops with a European power company; we envisioned and prototyped intuitive solutions to streamline their energy market workflows. Those concepts formed a base of understanding that allowed the client and customer to agree on a multi-million dollar contract and move forward with development.
